Our Story,

Every church has a different journey and a unique story as to how God started their work and increased their effectiveness.

Our story began when Pastors Ladell and Gwen sold their business and settled their family in Fort Bend County and founded the church.  Three families joined Pastors Graham along with their children, Justin, Jonathan, and Jasmine in their home to pray seeking God’s instructions on the church that He would give birth to in Fort Bend County.

They dreamed of a place where people would love one another, share with one another and over time each person would become less self-focused, fulfilling the command of Jesus to love one another as He has loved us.  They were not only dreamers, but many of those dreams have come true.

In, 2013, the ministry became known as THE CHAMPION CENTER with a commitment of helping people to become equipped, encouraged and empowered to live successful Christian lives.  We are a family of believers committed to connecting people to Jesus Christ and helping them live the life that He has promised.

In 2015, THE CHAMPION CENTER became an ELDER-GOVERNED MINISTRY. The ministry has 5 elders who are responsible for the direction and spiritual guidance of the church.  We believe that having a consensual agreement of Godly leaders, the church creates a healthy checks and balances of leadership, effective ministry implementation and financial accountability.

We believe the church should be the Epicenter of Life – giving birth to some of the world’s most creative ideas and being the solution of life’s challenges, from family to career and beyond.
